The event is part of the campaign to promote Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of World Human Rights Day (December 10, 1948 - December 10, 2024).

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet, Deputy Head of the Human Rights Steering Committee, recalled that Vietnam has been re-elected to the UN Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term.

He asked for new ways of doing things to regularly help the world to know more about Vietnam. Mr. Viet emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation with international organizations and foreign media to show concern for the Vietnamese people, promote the national image, raise international awareness of human rights in Vietnam, and build a fair environment for dialogue at international forums.

The delegates offered practical solutions to promote external information on Vietnam's achievements in ensuring human rights.
