Seven Vietnamese athletes to defend their titles in world bodybuilding championship
(VOVWORLD) -20 Vietnamese bodybuilders on Sunday set off to compete in the 2024 World Bodybuilding Championship, held in Addu city, Maldives, this week.
The biggest team of Vietnamese bodybuilders are tasked with defending eight individual champion titles and the team runner-up position they won in South Korea last year.
Veteran athlete Pham Van Mach, the reigning 55 kg world champion, will be absent due to personal reasons. The other seven world champions are determined to maintain their rankings in the tournament.
They are Dinh Kim Loan (women's 55 kg), Nguyen Thi Kim Dung (women's classic bodybuilding height 1.65 m), Bui Thi Thoa-Tran Hoang Duy Thuan (mixed pairs), Tran Bao Quoc Vuong (men’s 65 kg), Ho Huy Binh (men’s 70 kg), and Pham Van Phuoc (classic bodybuilding height 1.7 m).
