A report released on Wednesday to review the performance of Vietnam Social Insurance in the first half of this year said total social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance premiums collected from the beginning of 2024 to the end of June increased 780 million USD against last year.

The people covered by health insurance total 92.131 million, reaching a coverage rate of 91.86% of the population; an increase of 1.225 million people over the same period last year.

The legal and organizational system for enforcing social insurance policies is becoming more comprehensive, professional and effective, the report said.

Basic indicators go up sustainably, especially health insurance coverage indicators. The rights of people, workers, businesses, and medical examination and treatment facilities are expanded in the spirit of the fastest and most complete reform.”
