(VOVworld) – The Conservative People's Party (PP) of acting Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy has won most seats in Spain's parliamentary election but is short of a majority.

Spain has been in a political deadlock over the past 6 months because no party gained enough seats in parliament to form a government following the general election in December, 2015.
Last month King Felipe VI signed a decree to dissolve parliament and called for a general election.
