“I brought my children here at 6 a.m. to join the flag-raising and sing the national anthem, hoping to nurture their love for our homeland,” Nguyen Bao Ngoc from Hoang Mai District said.
“My two kids woke us up early, excited to dress up and attend the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. I was overwhelmed by the large, enthusiastic crowd. It felt like a heartfelt tribute to President Ho,” visitor Vu Tuan Linh said.
Similar ceremonies were held the same day at the Lung Cu Flag Tower in Ha Giang Province, the Hien Luong–Ben Hai historic site in Quang Tri Province, across the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, at DK1 platforms, and aboard naval vessels on duty at sea.
