Spring Press and Calligraphy Festivals attract crowds

(VOVWORLD) - A Spring Press Festival, a Spring Calligraphy Festival, and several photo exhibitions are underway in Hanoi, Ca Mau, and Long A province, attracting throngs of locals and tourists.

The 2025 Spring Calligraphy Festival and a calligraphy exhibition opened Thursday at Van Mieu–Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature) in Hanoi, showcasing works by 47 calligraphers from all over Vietnam. The Festival includes heritage-related activities, introductions to craft villages, and displays of traditional handicraft products, as well as performances of Ca Tru, Quan Ho, Cheo, Xam, Chau Van, and lion dances. The event will continue through February 9.

The Journalists Association of Ca Mau province opened the 2025 Spring Press Festival on Thursday at the provincial library, where awards were presented for outstanding publications and programs, as well as for school wall newspapers, portraits of "Good People, Good Deeds," and photographs on the theme of sustainable poverty alleviation.

Long An province also began its Spring Press Festival on Thursday, with the theme “Celebrating the Glorious Party, Welcoming the 2025 Lunar New Year.” The Festival will continue through January 31 at the provincial Center for Culture and Arts, featuring 200 spring publications and magazines from local media outlets.
