(VOVworld) – A ceremony to acknowledge the Tan Trao historical relic as a special national historical relic took place today in Tuyen Quang province attended by Party and State leaders.

At the event, Le Hong Anh, Politburo member and permanent member of the Central Committee Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam, reviewed the great wartime contribution made by the people and Party Committee of Tuyen Quang province, especially Tan Trao commune. In 1945 President Ho Chi Minh selected Tan Trao commune as the country’s revolutionary base. A number of historic events decisive to the success of the 1945 August Revolution took place here, such as a meeting to plan the general uprising to seize power nationwide and the first National Representatives Congress. In the revolutionary period, the people and Party Committee of Tuyen Quang province always honored their obligation to protect central agencies. Mr. Le Hong Anh: "The recognition of the Tan Trao historical relic as a special national historical relic is to honor the historic significance of the relic as well as the great contribution made by the people and Party Committee of Tuyen Quang province to Vietnam’s revolution".
