(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Hanoi is hosting a series of activities under the theme “Village Tet,” from now until the end of this month.

According to the Department of Ethnic Culture, the event will feature more than 100 participants from 16 ethnic groups and representatives from 11 provinces and cities. Highlights include the cultural exchange program “Tet Returns to My Village,” showcasing folk performances by Thai communities from Thanh Hoa and northern ethnic groups, reenactments of the Cha Mun Festival, and traditional Tet customs such as making black sticky rice cakes.
The program also features Tet decorations and preparations across villages representing the Nung, Tay, Dao, Mong, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xe Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, and Khmer ethnic groups.
In addition, a Spring Festival will offer vibrant activities such as “Spring Comes to the Highlands,” traditional kitchen-spirit worship rituals of the Muong people, and folk music and dance performances welcoming the Lunar New Year.
