Trump pledges to make trade deals “fair” to the US
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump renewed his pledge Monday to make trade deals "fair" to the US, insisting that not only its enemies but its friends have been "ripping off" the United States.

Addressing a White House press conference, Trump said the US has been working on seven major trade deals, but did not elaborate on what they were. Mr. Trump raised the prospect of “decoupling” the US economy from China and claimed that the US wouldn’t lose billions of dollars if they didn’t do business with China. President Trump argued that the US’s NATO allies have long taken advantage of the US militarily and economically.
