Zelensky made his appeal during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at the US Ramstein Air Base in Germany, attended by representatives from around 50 countries. This marked the first time Zelensky has personally participated in the meeting.

At the event, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany would supply Ukraine with 12 additional self-propelled artillery systems, which will be manufactured by private defense companies rather than from existing military stockpiles.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated on Friday that Russia will complete its special military operation in Ukraine once its objectives are achieved.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Peskov emphasized that Moscow’s actions aim to ensure long-term security for future generations and establish a new security structure in the region.

Russia’s Ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, also reaffirmed that no matter the volume of Western weapons supplied to Ukraine, Russia is determined to accomplish its goals in the conflict.
