UK-week held in Ho Chi Minh city

(VOVworld) – A UK Week in Ho Chi Minh City began on Wednesday as part of activities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-UK diplomatic ties.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, UK Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Douglas Barnes hailed the fine relationship between the two nations, which has been unceasingly developed in all aspects. Barnes said several UK entrepreneurs operating in industry, education, and retail came to Vietnam on this occasion to seek business opportunities and promote cooperation with local firms.

Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Le Manh Ha applauded the UK Week, considering it an opportunity to boost cooperation between the two countries’ businesses as well as between Ho Chi Minh city and the UK.
