Aircraft Spots said that the US’s Cobra Ball spy plane did not operate over the waters off South Korea for the first time in five days.

The US monitored the area from Tuesday to Saturday for any movement from North Korea during Christmas. The North had threatened a “Christmas gift” if the US doesn’t provide concessions like sanctions relief by the end of the year.

North Korea’s state media reported early on Monday that “offensive measures” to protect North Korea’s security and sovereignty were discussed during Sunday’s Workers’ Party meeting, just before the year-end deadline for nuclear negotiations with the US.
