(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam always attaches great importance to cooperation with the Francophone Community, hoping to further bilateral ties, says Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung.

During talks with Secretary-General of La Francophonie Louise Mushikiwabo during her working visit to Vietnam, Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized that, as an active and responsible member of the Francophone Community, Vietnam will continue contributing to joint efforts to promote peace, stability and sustainable development in member countries and worldwide.
He suggested that the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) strengthen economic cooperation and support collaboration between Vietnam and Francophone members in science and technology, digital transformation, culture and education, while enhancing cooperation with Francophone African countries and strengthening French language teaching in Vietnam.
Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo highly appreciated Vietnam’s role and active contributions to Francophone activities.
She affirmed that the Francophone Community would work with Vietnam and other members to strengthen cooperation and solidarity in promoting peace, stability, cooperation and prosperity.
She added that OIF will continue to expand cooperation with Vietnam, particularly in education, training, sustainable economic development and economic and trade cooperation with African countries, and expressed hope that more Vietnamese officials will work at the OIF.
