(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Luong Thanh Nghi has suggested Vietnam and Australia fully tap their cooperative potential and deepen their comprehensive partnership. In a recent interview with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Sydney, Nghi said the two sides need to create more favorable conditions for both countries’ investors and ease trade barriers to boost exports.

Although Vietnam and Australia have some differences on human rights issues, they have tried to settle them through 11 rounds of dialogues in a frank and constructive manner. Nghi called on Australian politicians and researchers to come to Vietnam to witness Vietnam’s development and human rights practices.
Nghi asked Vietnam and Australia to further high-ranking exchanges, honor signed agreements, and increase mutual support at regional and global forums.
