Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nguyen Thi Ha, told the online ministerial dialogue between the ASEAN and the US on gender equality and women empowerment on Thursday that the Vietnamese government has issued various supportive policies for women in vocational training and employment with the application of advanced learning programs for better access to education.
"To deliver gender equality commitments, ASEAN members must cooperate closely and mobilize support from other countries. We wish for more support from the US in ASEAN’s gender equality agenda, women empowerment and economic recovery after the pandemic," she said.

Ministers and heads of delegations issued a joint statement incentivizing the ASEAN in women economic empowerment, gender mainstreaming and violence prevention against women and children.
