Vietnam, Cuba to enhance multilateral cooperation

"Both countries organized various activities to mark the 45th anniversary of the late President Fidel Castro’s visit to liberated zone in South of Vietnam in 1973. The two countries have been growing strongly over the years and Vietnam has always accompanied Cuba’s revolutionary in its every development step and stood ready to share all the joys and hardship with Cuba and its people," said Mr. Trong at the event.

Mr. Miguel Mario Diaz Canel Bermudez stressed that Cuba attaches great importance to its traditional friendship and solidarity with Vietnam. He pledged that Cuba will do its best to expand its bialteral ties with Vietnam.

The Cuban media has given a wide coverage of Mr. Bermudez’s trip to Vietnam on Thursday and Friday, which was his first official trip to Vietnam during his leadership. Major Cuban newspapers and online newspapers such as Granma, Juventud, Rebelde, Prensa Latine, and state news agency ACN, have closely followed and covered Mr. Bermudez’s activities during his trip to Vietnam.
