In Muay Thai, Pencak Silat, and Greco-Roman wrestling, several Vietnamese are expected to advance to the finals. Archery and chess are also expected to deliver more gold medals to Vietnam.
On Tuesday, Vietnamese athletes delivered an impressive run of gold medals. Bui Thi Kim Anh claimed the gold medal in the women’s high jump. Nguyen Thi Oanh claimed the gold medal in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase—her 3rd gold at SEA Games 33 and the 15th SEA Games gold medal of her career. So far the Vietnamese delegation has won 48 gold, 54 silver, and 76 bronze medals, maintaining its position in the top three of the SEA Games 33 medal table.
