Vietnam, Laos seek to strengthen bilateral ties

(VOVworld) – Vietnam will do its utmost to strengthen all-round co-operation with Laos and to support Laos during Laos’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2016, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at a Tuesday meeting in Hanoi with Laotian Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith. He called for close co-ordination in implementing agreements between the two countries.

Mr Bounnhang Vorachith said Laos values its relationship with Vietnam and will join Vietnam in every effort to consolidate their friendship. He said the two countries should continue promoting their all-round collaboration, especially in trade and investment, pledging to create favourable conditions for Vietnamese businesses’ long-term operations in Laos.
