In his address, Chairman Hue urged the two countries to strengthen cooperation in economics, trade and investment. Mr. Hue said the Vietnamese National Assembly will be hosting the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians in September and hopes that the Luxembourg Parliament will send a delegation to the event.

Prime Minister Xavier Bettel said that during his talks with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Luxembourg announced two projects with a value of 7 million euros to assist Vietnam to protect the environment and adapt to the climate change.

He affirmed that Luxembourg is ready to share information pertaining to digital transformation with Vietnam and trusts that Vietnam will consider exempting visa requirements for Luxembourg nationals.

During the meetings, the two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation pertaining to green finance, promote a green economy, therefore creating a new supply chain amid these unprecedented global changes and challenges.
