(VOVworld) – Chief of the New Zealand Defense Force Lieutenant General Tim Keating is on his 6-day visit to Vietnam starting on August 15^th.

At Monday’s reception for Mr. Keating in Hanoi, Vietnam’s National Defense Minister General Phung Quang Thanh stressed that defense ties between Vietnam and New Zealand had obtained significant results. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral defense cooperation. Mr. Thanh said he hopes the visit will enhance defense ties between the two countries.
