Vietnam prioritizes traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation with China
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam attaches great importance to its traditional, friendly neighborliness and comprehensive cooperation with China, said National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Thursday at a reception for Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei.

Chairman Man reiterated that Vietnam considers this partnership a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, development, multilateralization and diversification of foreign relations.
Emphasizing that 2025 holds special significance for Vietnam-China relations as it marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties, Man said both countries are actively preparing for this milestone. He urged the Chinese Ambassador to further contribute to fostering deeper and more substantive cooperation between the two countries’ legislatures as well as exchanges among the Friendship Parliamentarians’ Groups, Women Parliamentarians’ Groups, and Young Parliamentarians’ Groups of both countries.
Highlighting the great potential for further collaboration, Chairman Man expressed confidence that Vietnam-China relations will continue to grow deeply, comprehensively and practically in the future.
Ambassador He Wei affirmed his commitment to advancing the relationship between the two nations during his tenure. He expressed optimism about strengthening cooperation between the National People's Congress of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam, aiming to elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
