(VOVWORLD) - Enhancing education cooperation will drive the US-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, said US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper at a meeting with students of the Hanoi National University on Thursday, the first event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-US diplomatic relations (July 12, 1995 - July 12, 2025).

Twenty-five years ago, President Bill Clinton was the first US President to visit the Hanoi National University during his official visit to Vietnam, where he announced a new chapter in the US-Vietnam relations, saying “Let the future be our destination.”
Since then, more than 60 students and lecturers of the Hanoi National University have participated in exchange programs offered by the US government. Vietnam is cooperating with more than 10 American educational institutions to exchange students and lecturers, as well as educational methodology.
