Attendees included representatives of the UN, the European Union, and other international organizations, as well as ambassadors and embassy officials from the US, China, India, Laos, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, and Cambodia.

Participants analyzed major geopolitical shifts, the impacts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and rapidly evolving traditional and non-traditional security challenges. They urged Vietnam to be active and innovative in improving its institutional framework, developing high-quality human resources, strengthening strategic research and forecasting, and promoting economic and cultural diplomacy, as well as digital transformation.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, said: "In the new context, to elevate its multilateral diplomacy, Vietnam must adopt fresh thinking about multilateralism. We need to strengthen strategic forecasting and policy planning to enhance Vietnam’s capacity to contribute to institution building and invest more in training human resources for multilateral diplomacy. We should also take an active role in emerging global mechanisms on technology, the environment, digital data, AI, maritime security, and water security, while combining national strength with the collective power of international networks and partners."
