At a meeting with Palestine's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shahin on Wednesday, the Deputy PM suggested that Vietnam and Palestine expand trade cooperation and foster exchanges and investments between businesses. Vietnam is willing to support Palestine in areas that it has strengths, which include agricultural, seafood, textiles, and footwear exports, he said.

The two sides stressed the need to boost people-to-people exchanges through friendship organisations and communities.

Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin said Vietnam's support for Palestine at international forums is of great significance to Palestine in its struggle for freedom. She added Palestine wishes to further promote their bilateral relations and receive further supports from Vietnam in its areas of expertise.
