(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam national women’s football team will face German SV Werder Bremen FC in a friendly match, marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.

The match is jointly held by the German Embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and will kick off at 7 PM on Friday at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi. Entry is free.
The SV Werder Bremen women's team is the first German women's soccer team to visit Vietnam. The trip is an important step in Werder Bremen's internationalization strategy and underlines the importance of Vietnam as a key partner, the German Embassy in Hanoi said in statement.
In addition to promoting women's soccer, the German club is keen to build lasting links through cultural exchange, social initiatives, and youth engagement.
The delegation from Werder Bremen, who also includes managing directors Klaus Filbry and Clemens Fritz, will visit schools, non-profit organizations, and youth football initiatives, and participate in cultural programmes during their stay. These activities reflect Werder Bremen’s continuing its intensive commitment to education and sustainability, the embassy said.
