Vietnam sees record high daily recoveries from COVID-19 on Wednesday

(VOVWORLD) - From 5 p.m. on Tuesday to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Vietnam recorded 8,758 COVID-19 cases, of which 14 were imported and 8,744 were locally-transmitted in 33 provinces and cities.

Vietnam’s total caseload of 779,398 ranked 44 of 223 countries and territories. By the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 154 of 223 countries and territories.

On Wednesday, 23,568 patients were given the all-clear, the highest number of recovered cases in a day in Vietnam so far. The total number of cured COVID-19 cases in the country to date is 583,509. But on the same day Vietnam recorded 162 deaths from COVID-19.
