Vietnam, Sri Lanka strengthen ties

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has urged for further strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two Parties of Vietnam and Sri Lanka, contributing to the broader bilateral relationship.

Speaking at a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka Weerasinghe Geeganage in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Friday, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai affirmed Vietnam’s willingness to share its experience in governance and national development.

General Secretary Weerasinghe Geeganage highlighted Vietnam’s success as an inspiration for Communist parties and workers worldwide. He expressed his desire to enhance party-to-party relations and suggested increasing delegation exchanges and knowledge-sharing on party-building strategies.

As part of his visit, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai laid wreaths at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, visited the Ho Chi Minh Space at the Colombo Capital Library, met with the Sri Lanka-Vietnam Solidarity Association, and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
