Vietnam supports multilateralism, reacts to US withdrawal from international organizations
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam supports multilateralism and values the role of multilateral mechanisms in addressing global issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said at the Ministry’s regular press conference on Thursday in Hanoi.

Replying to a reporter's question about US President Donald Trump signing an executive order to withdraw the US from dozens of international organizations, including many agencies of the United Nations system, the spokesperson said Vietnam hopes that countries continue to uphold multilateralism and make positive contributions to building and consolidating multilateral institutions and international law for peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development.
Regarding international public opinion on Vietnam's economic growth in 2025 and forecasts for 2026, spokesperson Hang said the international community recognizes and applauds Vietnam's remarkable achievements.
Many economic researchers, foreign investors, and international friends consider Vietnam one of the bright spots amidst the recent gloomy global economic climate, she added. The International Monetary Fund ranks Vietnam among the top 10 fastest-growing countries in the world.
