Alongside expanding overseas employment opportunities, the Department of Overseas Labor Management is focusing on vocational training, skills upgrading, pre-departure orientation, and legal education for workers.
These measures aim to help workers secure stable incomes and sustainable employment, while further enhancing Vietnam’s reputation in the international labor market.
Last year, Vietnam sent more than 144,000 workers abroad under labor export programs, exceeding the target by 11%. Japan remained the largest employer, receiving 64,600 Vietnamese workers, followed by Taiwan (China) with 57,000 and South Korea with 11,600.
