Held in Hanoi’s Cau Giay Park by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the US Embassy in Vietnam and the Hanoi People's Committee, the festival was part of celebrations of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the United States in 2015.

Visitors were treated to Vietnamese and American cultural exchange activities, sports, folk games of the two countries, displays of cultural and culinary booths and achievements in bilateral relations. There was introduction of Hanoi city, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-US Association, the US Embassy in Vietnam, non-governmental organizations, and businesses.
