Vietnamese, Chinese military medical forces jointly provide healthcare to border communities
(VOVWORLD) - Military medical teams of Vietnam and China on Tuesday provided medical examinations and treatment for residents in Hoanh Mo commune in Vietnam’s Quang Ninh province and in Dongzhong Town in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The event is part of the 10th Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

Deputy Director of the Department of Military Medicine of Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defense Tran Cong Truong emphasized that the activity helped strengthen friendship and solidarity between peoples, militaries, and especially medical corps of the two countries.

Senior Lieutenant Colonel Xiao Jun, Director of Hospital 924 and head of the Chinese military medical delegation, said the highly qualified Chinese doctors equipped with modern medical devices worked closely with their Vietnamese counterparts.

They provided medical check-ups, consultations, diagnoses, and treatment for common illnesses, and health education and specialized consultations for more complex conditions to improve healthcare in border areas.
