Addressing the event, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong highlighted the friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

Lao Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Vansy Kouamoua said the event reflects the solid, longstanding friendship between the two countries, adding that the week aligns with the Laos-Vietnam Cultural, Artistic, and Tourism Cooperation Plan until 2025, which aims to strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

“I believe that the Vietnam Culture Week in Laos will be a bridge to enhance cultural exchange and cooperation between the two peoples, thus fostering the friendly relationship between Laos and Vietnam and making it constantly grow,” said Vansy Kouamoua.

The week will run through Friday.
