Vietnamese top legislator encourages stronger investment from Russian businesses

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has reiterated strong support for comprehensive cooperation between Rostov province of Russia and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and other localities of Vietnam.

At Tuesday’s meeting with Vasily Golubev, Governor of Rostov province, Chairman Man lauded the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two localities during his ongoing official visit to Russia.

The National Assembly Chairman also expressed his hope that Governor Golubev and leaders of Rostov would continue to support the Vietnamese community in the region, allowing them to play a role in further strengthening ties between Rostov and Vietnam. Chairman Man encouraged businesses from Rostov to boost cooperation in trade, investment, culture, tourism, and education with Vietnamese localities.

Governor Golubev acknowledged the significant potential for cooperation between Rostov and Vietnam, adding Rostov has strengths in electrical manufacturing, assembly, light industry, garment, export, and agriculture production.

The governor expressed his desire to expand cooperation in these sectors, as well as in the areas of culture and tourism, with Vietnam.
