(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s economic achievements are a testament to the sound leadership of the Communist Party, said Wulf Gallert, Co-chair of the International Commission of Germany’s Left Party (Die Linke).

Talking with the Vietnam News Agency's reporter in Germany ahead of the 14th National Congress of the CPV, Gallert said the upcoming political event is of special significance. At a time of heightened global uncertainty, the Congress is expected to adopt new policy decisions to further accelerate economic development and refine organisational capacity.
He said sustaining broad-based consultations and listening to opinions from all walks of life, particularly those directly creating value, will be key to Vietnam’s even greater success.
Expressing pride in the two parties’ long-standing friendship built over decades, Gallert noted that relations between the CPV and Germany’s Left Party are now at a particularly positive stage, marked by an unprecedented level of closeness. Despite geographical distance, he said, the two parties have consistently found common ground in addressing shared challenges faced by the contemporary world.
He voiced his hope that the two sides will continue with close exchange mechanisms as a way to nurture their friendship on the basis of the shared interests of their peoples.
