This marks the third consecutive year that Vietnam has improved its ranking, demonstrating continuous efforts to enhance its national startup environment.

Ho Chi Minh City entered the top 5 startup ecosystems in Southeast Asia for the first time, securing the 110th globally– its highest ranking to date. Hanoi climbed 9 places to 148th, while Da Nang made a strong impression by jumping 130 spots to 766th, becoming the fastest-growing locality in the country.

Vietnam also stood out across several key indicators, including total private investment, the number of unicorn startups, the size of the startup workforce, global tech company branch presence, and the number of enterprises supported by international programs.

The country also earned high marks in emerging technology sectors—ranking second in Southeast Asia for blockchain, with Ho Chi Minh City among the world’s top 30. Hanoi also made its mark in logistics, ranking sixth in the region.
