The event drew around 800 artisans and amateur performers from 26 communes and wards across Dak Lak, representing nine ethnic groups: Ede, M’nong, Gia Rai, Ba Na, Xe Dang, Bru Van Kieu, Muong, Tay, and Nung.

The troupes competed in five categories: gong performances, ethnic musical instruments, folk singing, folk dancing, and the reenactment of traditional rituals, showcasing more than 100 unique acts rich in local cultural identity.

People’s Artist Bui Thanh Hai, a member of the judging panel, said,  “The performances were diverse. The reenactment of traditional rituals helped preserve cultural identity, while many new elements were incorporated into folk dances and instrumental performances. Elderly artisans and villagers took part with great passion and dedication.”

Eight prizes were awarded to outstanding troupes, along with commendations for 37 individual performances. The troupe from Lien Son Lak commune won the First Prize.
