Sen Village, where President Ho Chi Minh lived from 1901 to 1906, has become a special hometown for many Vietnamese people. The village still preserves many things from the past—red hibiscus flowers, the smell of lotus, the jackfruit tree, and the old loom once used by President Ho Chi Minh’s mother.

This year, to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An Province inaugurated a new monument called 'Uncle Ho Visits His Hometown.' It is located at Sen Village Stadium, where President Ho Chi Minh once spoke to local residents during a visit. Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung said the monument is an important cultural site and a special place for visitors to remember the President’s hometown.

Trung said that this new monument and the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site make people feel like Uncle Ho is there with them. The statue reminds everyone to remember him and work hard to build a more dignified, beautiful homeland—one that confidently steps into a new era of great ambition, full integration, and bold innovation, he added.

Visiting Sen Village is like going back to special memories. Ha Van Vinh, Deputy Director of Kim Lien National Special Relic Site said that visitors often feel as if they were returning to their own home.

"The local people regard the protection of Uncle Ho’s legacy and the preservation of this sacred place as a shared responsibility," he said, adding that this dedication and love from the people toward President Ho is truly a source of pride and happiness for the nation.
