The Hanoi Tourism festival opens on March 24, 2023

The festival features 150 booths from 15 cities and provinces. During the festival, a seminar on heritage tourism development and a conference on tourism trade promotion will be held.

Nguyen Thi Ha, a visitor from Phu Yen province said: "I’m very impressed with the festival and its myriad of activities. This is a very useful event for travel companies in Hanoi and nationwide. I hope more such festivals will be held to recover the tourism sector."

Highlights of the festivals are tours around Hanoi, and heritage tours that connect Thang Long Imperial city with Vinh Nghiem pagoda and West Yen Tu relic site in Bac Giang province, and tours of Co Loa ancient citadel.

Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Hanoi’s People’s Committee, said: "In 2023, Hanoi aims to welcome 22 million visitors. To this end, the local administration, travel companies and everyone in the hospitality sector need to change their mindset and create breakthroughs, invest in infrastructure, accommodation’s, and recreational facilities, diversify tours, improve management capacity and service quality, and strengthen IT application."

At the festival, thousands of stimulus tours to cultural and heritage relic sites of Hanoi and localities nationwide, discounted air tickets, local cuisines, and products of traditional craft villages are offered.
