(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism, in collaboration with Vietnam Airlines and Tan Son Nhat International Airport, hosted a special ceremony at the airport on Wednesday to greet the first tourists to Vietnam in 2025.

Visitors were treated to performances of traditional musical instruments, tea ceremonies, calligraphy demonstrations, and decorative paper fan drawing.
In Lao Cai province, the Department of Tourism, local authorities, and the railway industry welcomed over 400 tourists arriving by train, including 300 international visitors.
Mr. Ha Van Thang, Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Tourism, said: "Organizing the event to welcome first visitors of the year, we aim to promote Lao Cai's cultural and tourism image while striving for a year of growth with improved service quality and unique new products."
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Quang Binh province greeted its first 66 visitors of 2025, comprising 36 international and 30 domestic tourists.
Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, said: "Quang Binh, known as the 'Kingdom of Caves,' boasts over 500 caves. Recognizing this unique potential, the province aims to enhance cave tourism as a signature offering while strengthening promotional programs to attract more visitors."
