(VOVWORLD) - The Voice of Vietnam held the awards ceremony for the “Voice of Vietnam – September Star Awards” on Thursday on the occasion of its 80th founding anniversary (September 7, 1945 – September 7, 2025).

Held biennially, the awards honor authors and groups of authors with outstanding works in journalism, literature, arts, engineering, technology, and scientific research which have contributed to strengthening VOV’s brand. They also recognize artists and broadcasters and encourage creativity and innovation across all areas of VOV’s activities.
Among the 85 submissions this year, the Organizing Board awarded 9 gold prizes, 12 silver prizes, 11 bronze prizes, 1 prize for outstanding management, 1 prize for artistic composition and performance, 2 prizes for broadcasters and program hosts, and 3 prizes for outstanding journalistic ideas and innovative content.
The works honored reflected diverse social aspects and contributed practically to the cause of renewal, nation-building, and national defense.

Journalist Vu Tan Loi, a reporter of VOV’s Northwest Bureau, won a silver prize with his work “Muong Pon commune devastated after a catastrophic flash flood.”
“On the 80th founding anniversary of VOV, this award is a great honor for me and strong motivation for reporters to continue working steadfastly and keeping our pens sharp, especially in remote and mountainous areas, to further spread VOV’s broadcast to ethnic minority communities,” said Loi.
Reporter Thy Loan of VOVWorld won a silver prize for the work “Sky, Mountain, Water /Allusive Panorama: The artistic return of Emperor Ham Nghi to Hue.”
