(VOVworld) - Kim Lan is considered to be one of renowned ceramic villages in Hanoi’s Gia Lam district producing, making a variety of products like flowerpots, decanters and jars, toothpick holders.



The village is near Bat Trang, a well-known ceramic village in the north.


Together with other ceramic villages in Bac Ninh and Hanoi, Kim Lan has been preserving and promoting the traditional craft.


Kim Lan village is seen as a cradle of household ceramic wares in the old Thang Long Capital (or Hanoi today)


Despite difficulties, local villagers are making every effort to develop the traditional craft.
