The films are on a variety of topics, from 20th-century Vietnamese patriot Phan Chau Trinh to the tragic battle against cancer waged by a young girl living in a rural area.

(VOVWORLD) - The Ho Chi Minh trail, a military supply route running from North Vietnam through Laos and Cambodia to South Vietnam, was opened in 1959. Until the end of the Ho Chi Minh campaign that led to Vietnam’s reunification in 1975, VOV war correspondents accompanied soldiers along the trail, reporting the events they witnessed. Meanwhile, VOV radio broadcasts furnished the soldiers’ “food for thought” and connected them with the world outside the jungles during those years of hardship.

(VOVWORLD) - 16 classical dramas and 7 folk operas were staged last week at the National Classical Drama and Folk Opera Festival 2019 in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa. 11 troupes joined the annual event, which promotes traditional opera while giving professional artists an opportunity to meet and collaborate.
