(VOVWORLD) - Up to 70% of Vietnam’s agricultural products are exported to China through border crossings in Lang Son province via unofficial channels (known as exchange of goods among border residents). Although the form of export hasn’t required many complicated procedures, it poses potential risks for Vietnamese exporters. Domestic enterprises have been encouraged to quickly switch to official channels to remove border congestion of export farm produce.

(VOVWORLD) - At this time of the year, farm produce and fruits are being harvested and trucks are carrying loads of fresh fruit bound for China to Lang Son province’s border gates. Lang Son has taken measures to clear fresh fruit exports quickly to reduce storage time and costs for exporters.

Launched in May 2019, the initiative has brought in new vitality, positive energy, highlighted the importance of tech firms and digital technology products for national development, especially the protection of national digital sovereignty in cyberspace.

(VOVWORLD) - "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) is an economic development program in rural areas to promote internal resources and increase product values. Launched nationwide in 2018, the program aims to develop production and trading models for traditional products and services that have a competitive advantage so they can compete in domestic and foreign markets and boost rural economies. It is expanding the industrialization and modernization of agriculture, restructuring rural labor, improving environmental protection, and preserving traditions.

(VOVWORLD) - Despite the world’s economic uncertainties, Vietnam's GDP has grown relatively well with major balances guaranteed and business climate index (BCI) increasing 12 percentage points, the highest level since the fourth outbreak of the pandemic. Vietnam's GDP this year is predicted to grow from 5.3% to 6.5%, lower than before the pandemic, but it shows businesses’ confidence in the country’s economic future.

(VOVWORLD) -The Prime Minister last month approved a strategy on import and export until 2030 with a goal of developing import and export sustainably for harmonizing commodity structure, promoting competitive and comparative advantages, promoting the brands of Vietnamese goods, and improving the national position in the global value chain. The strategy has created a roadmap and specific steps on export and import for each period – from now until 2025 and from 2025 to 2030 – and proposed solutions to reach set targets.
