The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is hosting a Children's Film Week until next Sunday. Animated feature films, including The Young Scholar Trang Quynh: The Legend of the Golden Buffalo and Wolfoo and the Three Realms Race, are being screened on FPT Play, Vietnam's internet television and entertainment platform, and distributed through the nationwide network of mobile cinema teams.
The Cinema Department is presenting 15 animated films, such as Father of the Chick, The Detective Gecko, The Dragonfly's Home, Crocodile Tears, and The Red-Hatted Turtle.
In Hanoi, numerous recreational and educational programs have been organized for children, including the cultural experience program A Day of Exploration, and the 27th World of Childhood Festival 2026, featuring activities such as English-language mini-games and augmented reality (AR) technology experiences. The capital is also hosting a variety of special stage productions, including Cinderella and the Glass Slipper, Pinocchio: The Wooden Boy, and the circus-theater performance Fairy Childhood Dream 2026.
Meanwhile, in Dak Lak province, a series of educational and experiential activities titled A Vibrant Summer took place over the past two days. The program featured hands-on opportunities for children to learn and practice traditional musical instruments of the Ede, M'nong, and Jarai ethnic groups, attend the showcase Cultural Coffee – Echoes of the Highlands, participate in painting activities, and explore the traditional Ede brocade-weaving craft.
Pham Ha Bao Nhi, a resident of Buon Ma Thuot ward, participated in these fun activities.
Nhi said: "What impressed me most was the beautifully decorated space, which truly reflected the spirit of the Central Highlands. I especially loved the gong displays at the museum. I often come here with my parents to visit and paint. I enjoy drawing the surrounding scenery and the exhibits showcased in the museum."
Vo Thi Phuong, Director of Dak Lak Museum, said: “These activities are designed to create an open, environmentally friendly, and accessible space that connects traditional and modern cultural values. Activities held in the longhouse area, featuring traditional and folk culture, help create a healthy recreational environment for children and families to participate in creative experiences together."
In Ho Chi Minh City, the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens has launched a series of entertainment programs, including artistic performances, mascot meet-and-greets, music shows, and interactive activities tailored for children. Other highlights include the Rainbow of Knowledge Book Fair and a summer book festival accompanied by the Colors of Vietnam children's painting competition.
