The night tour pays tribute to the profound historical and cultural values of Hang Kenh Communal House, a national architecture and art heritage site dedicated to King Ngo Quyen (Quoc To Trung Hung), the national hero who began Vietnam’s era of independence more than 1,000 years ago.
This is the first night tour of Hai Phong heritages that incorporates digital technology. 3D mapping videos guide viewers through different historical stages and the life and legendary victories of King Ngo Quyen, including scenes of his native Duong Lam village in Hanoi’s Son Tay, his military training, and the epic Bach Dang naval battle.

“We offer a sustainable tourism product that promotes heritage values through various formats, but especially through technology. We’re committed to environmental protection. Coming here, you can immediately see how well the site is preserved in a natural and airy space in the heart of Hai Phong. We want to show locals and tourists that tourism development can go hand in hand with environmental conservation,” said Phung Quang Thang, Vice President of L’Heritage Group.
Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the night tour is part of the city’s nighttime economy strategy. “We’re responding to people’s desire to learn more about the cultural heritages of Hai Phong. We’re trying to revitalize a centuries-old heritage site.”
The tour also introduces tourists to local folk performing arts like cheo (popular opera), hat van (spiritual singing), and ca tru (ceremonial singing) that was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent safeguarding in 2009.
