(VOVWORLD) - Covering 370 ha, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park now has more than 100 investment projects with a total registered investment capital of 3.8 billion USD. The park is striving to become the most modern science and technology city in Vietnam.

Founded 24 years ago, Hoa Lac High-Tech Park has attracted investment for scientific and technological development.
Tran Dac Trung, Deputy Head of the Park’s Management Board, said: "We’re not striving for full occupancy nor building apartments to become an urban area. In each development period, we have focused on research first and then services and logistics. We hope to ensure that the development of every sector follows science and technology."
The park has developed a science and technology infrastructure and has completed an R&D Zone. Businesses and investors in Hoa Lac High-Tech Park have cooperated closely to create a high-tech production chain.
Research agencies inside and outside the park have shared research results and production activities, and laboratories.
Nguyen Van Cuong of DT&C Joint Stock Company Vina, an enterprise funded by South Korea’s DT&C Group, said: "Our operation follows the guidelines of the Ministries of Science and Technology of Vietnam and South Korea. We receive support in researching market and customers, and we help Vietnamese businesses penetrate foreign markets."
Hoa Lac High-Tech Park intends to continue to modernize to meet investors’ needs. Specific mechanisms for the park are being studied.
Mr. Trung said: "We need research agencies that meet the standards of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Projects must meet technology requirements."
In Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, investors research, transfer, master and develop advanced technologies which are on the Prime Minister’s list of 35 prioritized hi-tech areas for investment.
