(VOVWORLD) - The Health Ministry confirmed 100 new coronavirus cases on Monday evening, including 75 domestic cases.
The latest cases brought Vietnam's total number of infections on Monday to 236.
30 of the 75 local cases were recorded in Bac Giang, 23 in Bac Ninh, 20 in HCM city, and 1 each in Binh Duong and Hanoi.
72 cases are linked to quarantine or locked down areas. The remaining 3, all in HCM city, are being contract traced.
Vietnam has to date detected 8,983 COVID-19 cases including 3,509 recoveries and 53 deaths.
