16th National Radio Festival officially opens
(VOVWORLD) - The 16th National Radio Festival officially opened on Thursday night in Thanh Hoa province. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on radio and television of the Voice of Vietnam, other local radio and television stations, and on digital platforms.

This year's Radio Festival drew 81 agencies, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense. The Festival received 380 entries competing for awards in news reportage, thematic programs, interviews, radio dramas, and ethnic language programs. There are awards for Golden Voice broadcasters, Excellent Production Techniques, Digital Application to Radio, and Podcasts.
With the theme “Vietnamese radio – diversity in digital transformation”, this year’s National Radio Festival sees digital transformation as not just a transformation in technology and methods but also a transformation in thinking, awareness, and journalism system management as well as in production methods, and distribution of press products. Digital transformation is considered a breakthrough solution to the existence and development of press agencies in general and broadcasting in particular in the new era.
In the framework of the 16th National Radio Festival, there will be a conference on Broadcast Digital Transformation: International and Vietnamese Practices, an exchange for Cheo lovers, and a running competition.
