Shrimp and pangasius accounted for 60% of the total revenue, with shrimp shipments earning 4 billion USD, up 16.7%, and pangasius increasing 8.9% to 2 billion USD.
VASEP Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu Sac said Vietnam ranks third after China and Norway in seafood exports and Vietnam is on the right track in increasing its added value.
Thanks to improved raw material supply and expanded export markets, plus Vietnamese seafood companies’ improved capabilities, Vietnam is set to top 10 billion USD of seafood export value in 2025.
