Spread over 14 hectares, more than one million flowers are in full bloom along pathways, around lakes, and beside the ancient walls of the 400-year-old castle. The stunning sight has impressed many visitors, including Ms. Anne Desnyder of Antwerp, Belgium.

"I’ve never seen tulips so carefully tended. The colors of the flowers are truly beautiful," said Ms. Anne Desnyder of Antwerp.

Maya the Bee, the beloved animated character famous across Europe, attended the event, making Floralia Brussels even more enchanting for children.

Mr. Cedric Pelgrims de Bigard, the castle’s owner, says this year’s festival features some of the rarest and most beautiful flower varieties, carefully selected from famous tulip-growing regions. One flower alone cost over 200,000 euros.

"We’ve renewed all the flowers this year. New tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths have been planted for the festival," said  Mr. Cedric Pelgrims de Bigard.

The flower festival will run until May 2. Organizers anticipate this year’s event will attract around 40,000 visitors.
